Japanese users can enable or disable this notification which is continuously connected to Japan’s earthquake warning system and can show warnings in minutes, seconds before the earthquake. It may eat-up lot of battery power due to its continuous data fetching from the warning system. But it’s a great feature added by Apple to show they care about safety. (Via 9to5mac)
250. New Cards app: Compose, Send, Print beautiful cards to beloved ones. Printing service is also available from none other than Apple itself. Shipping, Push-notifications from UPSC about the shipment. (The world is trying to save paper. Somebody please tell Apple)
251. Find Friends & Family: Easily locate friends and family from the device. Limited social-networking. Kind of Foursquare / Sonar type app.
252. Artificial Intelligence called Siri: (This feature is initially available in iPhone 4S but Apple might port it to iPhone 4 due to heavy public demand. If they don’t – I guess jailbreakers can port it just like they ported multi-tasking. Siri should get shipped in OS irrespective of the device so its only matter of enabling it from default disabled mode.) I have this feature covered under speech-to-text but I am putting it here because it looks like more than that. We can actually order something and Siriresponds to our requests. She just does not listen but thinks upon it. This is a typical Apple kind of innovation that keeps them on-top. Enhancement on Exchange accounts that have Mail disabled, now receive calendar invites with notifications and ability to accept/decline/tentatively respond.(Previously, if mail was disabled you would not receive calendar/meeting invites, the meeting would merely show up on your calendar as tentative, and even then it only shows up if the invite was received & added to the calendar in Outlook running on a laptop etc.) As emailed by Roland Theron

So, with this application I keep track of all my “on the moment thoughts”, sites I what to remember for later and “tag” them to make it easier to sort them out. I can keep different notebooks with, notes, tasks, checklists, alerts, bookmarks, and even make them more visualize note-board and move them around. And of course keep all “my staff” available threw my iPad/iPhone which I just love;)

Another cool thing I forgot mention, all your stuff will be available offline too.

As you can see above, you can custom design your dashboard, and have great over-view of your notebooks, search all content available on all notebooks, see alerts, basically clean design.

Here you see how the general list-view looks like, and to the left sidebar you see all the different categories available, alerts, bookmarks, tags and other types. This make it easy to sort and find the necessary material/content I am looking at time.

Here you see all your “Springpad friends stuff”, as your setup with tags, bookmarks, tasks, etc. This is the thing right now that is soon to be integrated with facebook. This will make it access able to all your facebook friends, e.g. see who likes different metadata from their account like, movies, games, bookmarks, check-ins, and so on. In other words, you will be able to filter all your friends data on facebook, and have direct information on Springpad to save and use for your search purpose.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

But a must, have to be the Chrome/Firefox extension for Springpad. This make it easy to just add all the Springpads features wail you browsing around on the web. And even access directly your notebooks, tasks, etc.

Once you start using the Springpad extension you get this functions like, clip visiting webpage, add notes, add tasks, or look for content related to the page.

most of the time a make “Clip” of the site I am reading and make some notes, or tag it to make it easier sort it out in my Springpad. Then when the day comes that I need some font, or tutorial for specific design. I start looking in my Springpad and search around all my previous notes, bookmarks and tags.

I strongly recommend you guys to try this out, it will make you life so much easier. Specially if you are like myself and can easily have around 20 tabs up and try to read all the blogs, tweets and RSS feeds I subscribe to.

P.S. you access your own Springpad threw Google account, facebook, twitter and Yahoo! so, no new registration form is needed.

For all you Apple users out there, I have a App for you the CloudApp. This little App, has made my life and work flow so much easier. It basically remembers almost anything I am copy and becomes accessible from all my devices. And if that wasn’t enough, it even creates a nice short tiny-URL so I can send or easy share by mail, Facebook, twitter, or why not just send it as a SMS-text.
